Her research interests include transmodernity and feminism, with a particular focus on memory/trauma/diasporic works in contemporary English and American fiction.

Defne Tutan, PhD, is Assistant Professor at the Department of American Culture and Literature, BaÅŸkent University, Ankara, Turkey. Specialized in Cultural Studies, Dr. Tutan has worked extensively on the intersection of postmodern and postcolonial discourses, with a special interest in their impact on the representation of alternative histories. Her more recent research has focused on historical adaptations, history as adaptation and biopics.

Dr. Yiğit is a historian of the United States, with a particular focus on the cultural history of the nineteenth and early twentieth-century. His research interests include the US Civil War Era, material history, and memory studies.
